Psychological Therapy

The primary therapeutic model is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Clients are taught skills and techniques to change their unhelpful thinking and behaviour that lead to long lasting improvements in their mood and functioning. Other evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as mindfulness and acceptance-based strategies are used as indicated by each person’s thorough psychological assessment.

Treatment typically lasts between 6-10 sessions and aims to equip individuals with skills that help them to become their own therapist. In some cases, longer term therapy is needed.
